About the Department of Cooperation with the Business Community of the Administration of Customs Cooperation of the Federal Customs Service of Russia

In September 2004 in the Administration of Customs Cooperation there had been formed the Department of Cooperation with the Business Community, with its main objective to provide for cooperation with the participants of foreign economic activity in accordance with subparagraph 14 Article 408 of the Customs Code of Russia in order to create favorable investment climate and to attract foreign investments into the economy of the Russian Federation. The Department is responsible for operation of the Advisory Council for implementation of customs policy under the auspices of the Federal Customs Service of Russia, provision of methodical ware for Advisory Councils for cooperation with the participants of foreign economic activity working at Regional Customs Administrations, organizing and conducting various events (meetings, conferences, round–table discussions and other similar events) with participation of the management of the Federal Customs Service of Russia and representatives of business circles, and participation in the development of draft documents of the Federal Customs Service of Russia, touching upon the interests of business community.

Information on representative offices of the Federal Customs Service (FCS) of Russia abroad There are currently seven representative offices of the FCS of Russia abroad.

They have been opened in Germany, Finland, Belgium, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Belarus, Ukraine, and the Republic of Kyrgyzstan.

One of the directions of the activities of representative offices of the FCS of Russia abroad is to facilitate the strengthening of economic cooperation in international relations.
